Important Travel Update: Rex Airlines Administration

We regret to inform you that Rex Airlines has entered voluntary administration, resulting in the suspension of their capital city routes operated by their Boeing 737 aircraft. Their regional Saab 340 flights, however, will continue to operate as usual.

To ensure your travel plans remain as smooth as possible, we are proactively arranging alternative flights for you with Virgin Australia. While we strive to match your original travel times, we understand that the new schedules might not always be convenient. In light of this, we are offering you the option of a full refund if the new arrangements do not meet your needs.

We are committed to providing exceptional service, as we demonstrated earlier this year when Bonza went into administration. Our priority is to make this transition as seamless as possible for you.

We’re going independent! (again)

To our customers, both new and existing,

Since it’s inception, Get Outta Here has established itself in the market as one of Australia’s newest independent travel agencies.

Since we started Get Outta Here, we’ve seen multiple new travel agencies come and go, and our recent growth has been testament to our emphasis on providing the best travel experiences to our customers.

We’ve come to realise that whilst we are independently owned and operated, we have become very dependent on another (much larger) company, which has controlled most aspects of our business, from what branding we are allowed to use (and where we can use it), to bookings, invoicing, and even how we can collect payments from customers.

It’s time we really become independent.

Over the coming weeks, there will be a lot of changes happening behind the scenes. This is to ensure the longevity of our business, and to ensure that our customers can continue to experience the best the world has to offer!

Starting today, Get Outta Here is now part of Flight Centre Independent!

Flight Centre Independent is a network of independent travel agents bring you the best travel deals from around the globe and that primo service you’ve come to expect from Flight Centre.

Get Outta Here is proud to be the first company in Australia to become a Flight Centre Independent branded agency, and will now feature branding and deals with both the Flight Centre and Flight Centre Independent branding.

As all of the Get Outta Here team have previous been employed by Flight Centre Travel Group at various Escape Travel and Flight Centre stores, and we hope that this brand alignment will give our customers familiarity as we continue to grow as an independent agency.

From today, our customers will be able to redeem their CommBank Awards points with Get Outta Here, as well as redeeming Flight Centre Travel Group gift cards to pay for their travel. We’ll also be introducing Flight Centre’s 24/7 Emergency Assistance program to ensure our customers have service when they need it, not just when it’s daylight in Australia.
