Dear Valued Customers,

We regret to inform you that Rex Airlines has entered voluntary administration, resulting in the suspension of their capital city routes operated by their Boeing 737 aircraft. Their regional Saab 340 flights, however, will continue to operate as usual.

To ensure your travel plans remain as smooth as possible, we are proactively arranging alternative flights for you with Virgin Australia. While we strive to match your original travel times, we understand that the new schedules might not always be convenient. In light of this, we are offering you the option of a full refund if the new arrangements do not meet your needs.

We are committed to providing exceptional service, as we demonstrated earlier this year when Bonza went into administration. Our priority is to make this transition as seamless as possible for you.

Please rest assured that our team is here to assist you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need further assistance, do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Warm regards,

JD Byrnes
Managing Director

Picture this: you’re about to embark on an exciting journey, exploring the wonders of Australia’s vibrant cities or immersing yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of the outback. As you plan your next adventure with Get Outta Here, we have fantastic news to share! We’re thrilled to announce that Virgin Australia now offers baggage tracking through the Virgin Australia app. With more than two-thirds of Virgin Australia’s domestic flights covered, this groundbreaking feature ensures your belongings are in safe hands throughout your travel experience.

Gone are the days of anxiously waiting at baggage claim, wondering if your suitcase made it safely to your destination. Virgin Australia is embracing the future of travel with innovative technology. Baggage tracking through the Virgin Australia app provides real-time updates, ensuring peace of mind from check-in to arrival. The stress of losing or misplacing your luggage is no longer a concern when you choose to fly on Virgin Australia’s domestic network.

At Get Outta Here, we understand that a smooth travel experience is crucial for our customers. By leveraging the Virgin Australia app, tracking your baggage is as simple as a few taps on your smartphone. From the moment you drop off your luggage at check-in, you can monitor its journey using the app’s intuitive interface. With instant updates on its location and status, you can focus on enjoying your trip, hassle-free.

Virgin Australia has once again proven its commitment to customer satisfaction and technological innovation. As a leading domestic carrier, Virgin Australia continues to set the standard for premium travel experiences. More than two-thirds of their domestic flights now offer baggage tracking, ensuring a seamless journey for passengers. We at Get Outta Here are thrilled to be a part of this revolution, as we strive to give our customers the best possible travel experience.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Qantas, the flag carrier for Australia and largest airline by fleet size, is hinting at rolling out a similar technology later this year. This is a promising development for travelers who prefer Qantas flights. With both Virgin Australia and Qantas onboard, Get Outta Here customers can look forward to a future where baggage tracking becomes the norm rather than the exception.

Get Outta Here, a renowned travel agency in Australia, announced today that it has completed its separation from the Flight Centre Travel Group and has fully joined the Australian Travel Agents Co-operative (ATAC) for greater independence, flexibility and growth.

Get Outta Here was previously part of Flight Centre Independent and as the first company in Australia to join the group, gained valuable insights, resources, and opportunities. However, the agency aims to focus on providing an even better travel experience to its customers while operating more independently.

“We want to continue providing personalized and high-quality travel experiences to our customers, and joining ATAC enables us to operate independently, serving our customers and growing our business more efficiently,” said JD Byrnes, Managing Director of Get Outta Here.

As part of ATAC, Get Outta Here has access to a wide range of travel resources, including discounted travel booking rates, comprehensive training and development programs, access to the latest industry trends and technologies, promotional support, exclusive offers, and networking opportunities with industry experts.

This new development means Get Outta Here can focus more on growing its client base and offering tailored travel packages and solutions to meet travelers’ specific needs. The transition will not affect any existing travel bookings or services, and clients can still expect the same level of service and professionalism that Get Outta Here has always delivered.

To our customers, both new and existing,

Since it’s inception, Get Outta Here has established itself in the market as one of Australia’s newest independent travel agencies.

Since we started Get Outta Here, we’ve seen multiple new travel agencies come and go, and our recent growth has been testament to our emphasis on providing the best travel experiences to our customers.

We’ve come to realise that whilst we are independently owned and operated, we have become very dependent on another (much larger) company, which has controlled most aspects of our business, from what branding we are allowed to use (and where we can use it), to bookings, invoicing, and even how we can collect payments from customers.

It’s time we really become independent.

Over the coming weeks, there will be a lot of changes happening behind the scenes. This is to ensure the longevity of our business, and to ensure that our customers can continue to experience the best the world has to offer!

During this time we won’t be taking any new bookings via the web, but our agents will continue to be available by phone on (02) 8004-7000 or via email at [email protected]

Thank you for your patience as we truly become independent.

Flight Centre Independent

Starting today, Get Outta Here is now part of Flight Centre Independent!

Flight Centre Independent is a network of independent travel agents bring you the best travel deals from around the globe and that primo service you’ve come to expect from Flight Centre.

Get Outta Here is proud to be the first company in Australia to become a Flight Centre Independent branded agency, and will now feature branding and deals with both the Flight Centre and Flight Centre Independent branding.

As all of the Get Outta Here team have previous been employed by Flight Centre Travel Group at various Escape Travel and Flight Centre stores, and we hope that this brand alignment will give our customers familiarity as we continue to grow as an independent agency.

From today, our customers will be able to redeem their CommBank Awards points with Get Outta Here, as well as redeeming Flight Centre Travel Group gift cards to pay for their travel. We’ll also be introducing Flight Centre’s 24/7 Emergency Assistance program to ensure our customers have service when they need it, not just when it’s daylight in Australia.
